Material Inspection Technology, Inc. (MIT) was incorporated in 2003. Our goal was to fill a growing service need in the inspection field that did not just provide a service, but brought values, client satisfaction, and integrity to the inspection business.
MIT offers a wide variety of inspection-based services and brings extensive experience to the table. We are familiar with common codes, such as ASME, API, AWS and work closely with clients and their own specifications.
Our NDE division offers Radiography, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ferrite, Hardness, CWI and Positive Material Identification testing. Our services are offered both in-house at our 10,000 square foot facility in Houston, Texas and in the field throughout the United States and abroad. Our technicians are certified in accordance with ASNT’s SNT-TC-1A.
Our Quality Assurance group offers Quality Management, Vendor Surveillance, Third Party Inspections and Weld Consulting.
We pride ourselves in not being the typical in- office Quality staff but we spend our time in the field getting to know the projects we are working on by being involved in the fabrication and manufacturing of your project. We of course have state side experience along with overseas experience in China, Finland, Poland, Estonia and England.
Our QA staff are Certified Welding Inspectors in accordance with AWS’s QC-1.
